Why I built this app

I built QuickCV after seeing friends spend hours on resume tools that were either expensive, confusing, or both. Job searching is already stressful, so the tool itself should not add more friction or anxiety.

My goal was simple: users should focus on their story, not formatting mechanics. I wanted a builder that gives instant confidence with clean structure, dependable export, and practical templates that work in real hiring flows.

Problems I faced while building

PDF export quality was the biggest challenge. Browser-generated PDFs can become blurry or inconsistent depending on device and scaling settings. I had to fine-tune rendering behavior to keep output sharp and professional.

Another challenge was keeping preview and form state perfectly synchronized. Users expect immediate visual feedback while typing, so updates had to feel instant without creating unnecessary re-renders.

ATS compatibility also required careful formatting choices. Rich visual layouts can break machine readability, so I balanced clean design with parser-safe document structure.
